Oak Forest Milk Stop

Oak Forest Milk Stop April 20, 2015 at 3:34pm It is well known that Oak Forest was named after a milk stop on the Rock Island Railroad. This milk stop was located at the Central Avenue crossing just north of 167th street:

This is the spot that Oak Forest draws its name from. It was briefly known as Arbor Park before the name Oak Forest was officially adopted.
